Maelys Tourbot

Currently a first year student at EDHEC one of the top Business School in France. I am following the 4-year program of EDHEC BBA which is known for delivering high impact research and training focused on the economy, marketing and businesses.
Studying the principles of management, business mathematics and statistics, business economics, accounting for managers, organizational behaviour and team management, contemporary issues, business laws, consumers and markets, negotiation and sales techniques, communication business and society, quantitative methods and principles of finance..
My experience is rather unusual. As a native French speaker and having spent three years in Pennsylvania in the United States I’ve improved my English language. Moreover, I’ve carried out a six months exchange in Bilbao (Spain) to increase my Spanish language and learn about the spanish culture. Thereupon, I’ve moved to Singapore for my last year of high school and discovered the uniqueness of Asia. What I can conclude from these experiences in three different continents is the achievement of an intercultural competency, which I consider the path to success. I am capable of adapting to new cultures quickly. I am a very good team player as I know that being different is an opportunity. I will take the initiative to make the group improve and never fail to learn from my mistakes. I’m dynamic because one of my key value is to discover and learn from my environnement explaining my sense of adaptation.
