We are looking for a strong Voice Frontend engineer to work on Presto’s Voice AI technology that is transforming the restaurant industry. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components using React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to scale. You will coordinate with the rest of the team, working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important.
Responsibilities:
- Build, deploy, and optimize responsive React apps for internal tools and external products
- Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Participating in all aspects of software development activities, including design, coding, code review, unit testing, bug fixing, and triaging production issues
- Work closely with Product Manager & UX Designer on fast prototyping of ideas and concepts and researching the latest industry trends
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in building and scaling full-stack web-based applications.
- 5+ years of experience developing cross-browser compatible front-end with React.js/Node.js/Next.js, HTML5, CSS3 abstraction (Less/SASS), ES6, etc.
- Strong in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation, object model and EcmaScript standard, and data structure libraries
- Thorough understanding of React.js, its core principles, workflows (such as Flux or Redux), and frameworks (such as Redux-Thunk or Redux-Saga)
- Strong in RESTful APIs integration and performance, including authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token
- Experience with modern front-end builds pipelines and tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Experienced working in agile teams leveraging source control, CI/CD, telemetry, and test-driven methodology and tools.
