The Role
The Moxion Engineering team is hiring an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join the founding engineering team! You will own the firmware that runs our product lineup, starting with the MP-75. You will design, implement, and deploy the infrastructure to achieve streamlined and secure updates to Moxion’s future fleet of vehicles. You will work closely alongside software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to specify and design elegant solutions for mission critical components.
We are excited for people that are passionate about diving into the hardware to create robust and reliable software solutions. Your work will be the brains that operate all of the products deployed by Moxion around the world.
The seniority and scope of this position depends on your experience level, we are flexible to have an open conversation about that.
Skills to be successful:
- Simulink/Stateflow modeling in Matlab
- RTOS & C/C++ development
- Embedded systems design & development
- Time and space efficient firmware development
- Writing clear and concise documentation
- Taking initiative to solve complex and ambiguous problems
- Learning new technologies and implementing them in complex and critical systems
Bonus points for experience with
- Energy storage or vehicle electrification
- J1939 CAN Protocol
- IoT system design & development

- Compensation Range: $150,000-200,000

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
