Senior Backend Engineer

Maven Bio is developing a platform that empowers biopharma leaders to effectively evaluate therapeutic opportunities. As our first full-time senior backend engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and scaling Maven Bio's backend infrastructure and API services.

At Maven Bio, we are building an “AI-native” product. This means that we are deeply infusing AI features and workflows throughout the product to improve our user’s experience.

In particular, we are working at the forefront of building AI-driven pipelines that can automate previously laborious tasks for biopharma teams. Your efforts will directly contribute to the use of AI-driven pipelines to parse, understand, and analyze opportunities in the biopharma space.

Our backend is written in python.

Experiences you may have:

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with a strong proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and experience with Flask or similar frameworks.
• Deep understanding of AI integration and experience managing data-intensive applications.
• Proven experience in scaling backend systems in a cloud environment, with a focus on supporting AI functionalities.

Requirements:

• In-office work four days per week (Boston, MA).
• A strong passion for building robust, scalable software that incorporates advanced AI capabilities.
• Interest in or openness to immersing yourself in the BioPharma industry.
