About the Role
We're looking for a self-motivated and experienced Frontend Engineer to join our small but growing team. This position is fully remote, so you can work from anywhere!
As a Frontend Engineer, you will be part of a small, collaborative team, working on multiple applications like our main web app, Shopify apps, plugins, and more. As one of our early engineers, you will have a front-row seat to the changing landscape of content marketing with generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining multiple frontend applications such as Shopify stores, web apps, and plugins
- Developing new user-facing features using React.js
- Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Collaborating with our team to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Working closely with the backend engineers to integrate with the APIs
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues, problems, and errors encountered across our web properties, internal applications, and systems as reported or experienced
Technical Requirements
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
- Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and related infrastructure technologies
