Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company. What we’ve built so far is the most seamless way to centralize all of a company's financial data – think expenses from Quickbooks or Netsuite, pipeline forecasts from Salesforce – and bring it into the tools finance teams are already using. But the vision goes way beyond that. We’re building the source of truth for a business’ data, and ultimately the platform businesses use to make better decisions.

We’re way ahead of schedule due to our unique approach, with barely any churn and rapid growth despite no marketing spend to date.

🔍 What we're looking for

We are on the hunt for an Analytics Engineer. We need someone who can not only manage but innovate and enhance our data transformation processes. You will be at the forefront of integrating diverse data sources like accounting platforms or HR tools, refining our data models, and ensuring data integrity and performance at the highest level.

This role is not just about technical prowess but also about understanding and fulfilling our customers' unique data needs. You will work closely with our customers, identifying their requirements, troubleshooting data issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to design robust data integrity tests.

👷 What you'll be doing

Core data transformations

• Build and continuously enhance data transformations for new and existing data sources

• Improve performance of data models and transformations

• Create and manage realistic data sets for demos and testing purposes

Customer specific needs

• Directly engage with customers to understand their data transformation needs

• Actively troubleshoot and refine customer-specific data transformations

• Oversee the status of data integrations, assisting the customer success team

• Design tests in collaboration with the engineering team to ensure data integrity

Your skills and experience

• Proficient in SQL for complex data transformation and analysis

• Skilled in using BigQuery and dbt for data management and transformation

• Skilled in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy

• Knowledgeable in managing and optimizing databases for efficient data handling

• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively

Bonus points

• Exposure to and interest in Finance, particularly in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Demonstrated proficiency in additional programming or scripting languages relevant to data analysis
