THE ROLE

As the Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing content marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engage our target audience (developers), and generate leads. You will play a pivotal role in creating compelling and valuable content across various channels to establish our company as a thought leader and industry expert.

This is a hybrid role in the Bay Area - we are looking for a candidate able to come into the office a few days/week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a content calendar, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality content across multiple platforms including blog posts, tutorials, whitepapers, videos, customer case studies, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical writers, designers, video editors, and partners, to gather information and orchestrate the creation of compelling, informative, and engaging content.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.
  • Monitor content performance and engagement metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize content strategies.
  • In coordination with the community team, collaborate with external influencers, community, and partners to amplify content reach and build relationships.
  • Manage and oversee content distribution across multiple channels, including MindsDB and third-party blog platforms, social media, email marketing campaigns, and partner content platforms.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align content marketing initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and product launches.
  • Monitor and report on content marketing KPIs, providing regular updates and insights to key stakeholders.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. Relevant content marketing training is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Content Marketing, Technical Content Writer, or a similar role, with a developer audience (preferably in the AI field).
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in content strategy development and content creation across various formats and platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of content marketing principles, SEO, and digital marketing trends.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), social media management, and email marketing tools.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and the ability to analyze content performance metrics.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with technical audiences (Hackernews, Dev.to, Hackernoon, Stackoverflow).
  • Experience with storytelling and scriptwriting (explainer videos, ads, marketing content).
  • Basic proficiency in coding (Python, SQL).
  • Basic understanding of AI / Machine Learning principles.
  • Advanced experience with ChatGPT and Midjourney prompting.
