KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 16): U.S. president Donald Trump had made a mistake in skipping the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) and Asean summits, said AirAsia Group Bhd group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.
In a series of tweets this morning from his handle @tonyfernandes, he said Trump’s missing of the Apec and Asean summits made no sense.
“While Donald Trump has made many mistakes, his biggest is avoiding the world,” he said.

At 9.05am, the FBM KLCI rose 11.73 points to 1,705.94.
The early gainers included Nestle (M) Bhd, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd, Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd, Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd, Apex Healtcare Bhd, Hong Leong Bank Bhd, Genting Plantations Bhd, Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd and Tong Herr Resources Bhd.
