Wife of former Malaysian PM Najib questioned by 1MDB investigators
KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak, arrived on Wednesday at the country's anti-graft agency for a second round of questioning over a corruption probe at state fund 1MDB.
Her questioning comes amid indications that more charges could be filed in the investigation into how billions of dollars went missing from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): Stressing the importance of reforms to Malaysia's asset declaration system, the government said it will develop an effective system to ensure better asset declaration and detect abuse among politicians.
The Code of Ethics for the declaration of assets and gifts among Members of Parliament and Members of Administration including the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister will be amended to have a requirement to declare assets to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) as well, instead of only to the Prime Minister, as practised before.
