Economist: Malaysia to grow 4.5-5.5% in 2018 and 2019
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's growth trajectory is expected to remain stable at 4.5 to 5.5 per cent this year and in 2019 despite fiscal restructuring and consolidation, thanks to sustained private sector and export demand.
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): Economist Dr Mohammed Abdul Khalid said the move made by the government to reduce the income gap is a right step forward.
Speaking to reporters at the sidelines after the forum "End Poverty Day 2018: Piecing Together The Poverty Puzzle", Dr Mohammed said everyone should be given equal opportunity to "move up the social mobility".
"This is not a matter of economic growth, but those countries with high inequality, wide gap, usually would not recover faster when there's [a] crisis nor sustainable in the long run.

SoundCloud users will soon be able to DJ live directly on the platform, all while having its huge catalogue of streamed music at their disposal. CEO Kerry Trainor made the announcement at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) on Thursday during his keynote.
