Seri Kembangan, July 27th, 2018 – Reached out to more than 70,000 activated youths with more than 20 empowerment initiatives, MyPerintis or Pertubuhan Perintis Malaysia (Malaysia Trailblazers Association), today celebrates 3rd Anniversary at Royal Ballroom, Palace of the Golden Horses.

This appreciation dinner is meant to thank our supporting partners and a night of celebration to reminiscence on MyPerintis journey thus far and our aspirations of making Malaysia a great nation again which aligns with the theme of the dinner. The dinner is officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, also our Patron, Yang Amat Berhormat (YAB) Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad and attends by more than 600 representatives from our esteemed partners, corporates, non-government organizations and friends.

MyPerintis is a non-government organization (NGO) that promotes Youth Empowerment. With its core focus in EDUCATION, EMPLOYABILITY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, ARTS & CULTURE and VOLUNTEERISM. MyPerintis was sparked by the desire to inspire youth to rise above their challenges, to dare explore their maximum potential and to make an impact in the world that advocates meaningful and progressive change as caring and productive citizens of Malaysia.

Saying on the roles of entities like MyPerintis who provides the initiatives on youth empowerment program, YAB Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad says “Apart from that, participation in Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), social activism, civil societies and the likes will further expose the youths to the many different facets of life and society.”

In conjunction with the event, MyPerintis also launches a Youth Community Platform called VERTEBRATA. Vertebrata acts as an online platform ‘Where FutureShifters Connect!’ to solidify the network of 70,000 the youths, members and friends of MyPerintis to express their expert opinions and ideas while increasing the cross-community awareness and collaboration through youth services. It provides consistent exposure and interaction for discussion and organization’s activities on all social platforms.

The Founding President of MyPerintis, Dato’ Lawrence Low says “For many years, I have advocates that leaders of today not only for tomorrow.” In line with YAB Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad’s advice “The bodies, built on noble ideals, bind members to the sense of camaraderie, loyalty, selflessness, honesty and trustworthiness and other good values that will take the youths a long way into their adult life”.

In addition, featuring the special performances of patriotic songs, ‘Sejahtera Malaysia’ and ‘Setia’ by a choir group from SK Taman Megah, traditional dances and music from the three different main races of Malaysia; Anak Uwek, Bhangra and Chinese Classical Music and a violin performance by Julian to serenade and entertain the guests throughout the night.

MyPerintis provides initiatives to make our youth as Futureshifters with strategic outreach to schools, campus ground activities, international tie-ups, and motivational programs. With the running of our signature program, ‘What Malaysian Youth Should Know Leadership Series’ as well as other initiatives including ‘International Youth Congress’, we are more inspired to further support, propel and realize the maximum potential of Malaysia’s Vertebrata.
