PETALING JAYA: Total vehicle sales increased 28% to 64,502 units last month, compared with 50,273 units a year earlier, bolstered by the reduction in car prices due to the zero-rated Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Hari Raya-related campaigns and promotions.
LONDON (Dec 18): Oil prices fell 4% on Tuesday, dropping for a third consecutive session as reports of swelling inventories and forecasts of record US and Russian output combined with a sharp sell-off in global stock markets.
US crude oil fell US$2.04, or 4.1%, to a low of US$47.84, its weakest since September 2017, before recovering to around US$48.10 by 0920 GMT.
North Sea Brent crude fell US$2.41, or 4.0%, to a low of US$57.20, a 14-month low, and last traded around US$57.61, down US$2.00.
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 18): Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) said today the company have to date upgraded close to 60% out of over 340,000 Streamyx customers' high-speed Internet packages in unifi-coverage areas to unifi at the same price of their current plans, to widen the nation's broadband coverage.
In a statement today, TM said that thus far, close to 70% of upgradable packages owned by Streamyx customers in non-unifi coverage areas have been moved up to double their current Streamyx speed, where technology permits, at the same price of their current broadband plans.
