KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 15): The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is verifying the sum said to be owed to taxpayers by the Inland Revenue Board, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah said today.
His ministry will issue a statement tomorrow over more than RM10 billion in IRB refunds said to be owing to taxpayers, which was reported by Utusan Malaysia on Tuesday.
"You have to wait for an official statement from us. IRB is under MoF, so before we make a statement, we want to verify the figure," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 15): The Small & Medium Enterprises Association Malaysia (Samenta) has expressed its disappointment at the apparent lack of business-friendly moves by the Pakatan Harapan government, which will be reaching its first 100 days in office on Friday (Aug 17).
