NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The NDA exam is for recruiting candidates for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Before knowing about NDA selection process, there are several things that need to be remembered if you are applying for NDA:-
• NDA is a two-step process. The first step is a written exam and the second is NDA SSB interview.
• NDA written exam is held twice a year.
• NDA written exam consists of Mathematics and Mental Ability questions.
• The written exam is a 5-hour exam conducted in 2 parts of 2½ hours each.
• There are different posts in NDA and each post has different eligibility.
• The NDA syllabus is based on CBSE 10+2 standards.
• The written exam and interview are of 900 marks each.
The NDA selection process is quite long. The step by step procedure is listed below-
• The entrance exam forms are released online that needs to fill up by the candidate in order to appear for the written exam.
• If your form is filled correctly, you can download the admit card for the written exam which is available a few days before the exam.
• You need to reach the given exam centre at 30 minutes before the exam starts.
• 2 exams of two and a half hour containing 900 marks each should be rightly done.
• A cut-off will be released online, a few weeks after the examination.
• A list of the roll numbers of the students, who have passed the NDA written exam and have been qualified for the NDA SSB Interview, will be released online.
After the written NDA selection process, the SSB Interview takes place. SSB Interview is a five-day process carried out by Selection Services Board. Three different assessors namely the Group Testing Officer, Interviewing officer, and the Psychologist will test each candidate from three different perspectives and arrive at their particular decisions. Students qualifying the SSB interview will be joining, The National Defence Academy for their further training.
