About Mastura M. Rashid
As a co-founder of The Nasi Lemak Project (TNLP), my mission is to alleviate poverty sustainably through a highly profitable social business and impact projects in education, empowerment and entrepreneurship. I designed and executed more than 50 social impact projects with TNLP, which are continuous and has significant SROI (social return on investment) to stakeholders. These projects involved a varied range of beneficiaries - urban and rural poor, single mothers, youth-at-risk, the homeless and refugees. In 2014, I was selected to be a winner of the International Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards, nominated by U.S Department of State to young world changemakers. Currently, I manage TNLP and do project-based management consulting on sustainability, CSR, social entrepreneurship and social innovation.
