Electric car maker Tesla Inc's move last week to cut 9 percent of its workforce will sharply downsize the residential solar business it bought two years ago in a controversial US$2.6 billion deal, according to three internal company documents and seven current and former Tesla solar employees.

LONDON (July 16): Oil prices fell sharply on Monday as concerns about supply disruptions eased and Libyan ports reopened while traders eyed potential supply increases by Russia and other producers.
Benchmark Brent crude dropped more than 3% to a low of US$73, before recovering slightly to around US$73.15 by 1340 GMT. US light crude was down US$1.70 at US$69.31.
"The energy complex is a sea of red as concerns about supply outages subside," said Stephen Brennock, analyst at London brokerage PVM Oil Associates.
