Fujifilm sues Xerox over aborted merger, seeks more than US$1 billion
Fujifilm Holdings Corp sued Xerox Corp on Monday for well over US$1 billion plus punitive damages, accusing it of succumbing to pressure to activist investors Carl Icahn and Darwin Deason in abandoning a proposed US$6.1 billion merger.
TOKYO (July 19): SoftBank Group Corp Chief Executive Masayoshi Son slammed on Thursday the Japanese government’s ride-sharing ban and said the country had fallen behind overseas rivals in areas such as artificial intelligence and fintech.
“Ride-sharing is prohibited by law in Japan. I can’t believe there is still such a stupid country,” said Son at an annual company event aimed at customers and suppliers.
