BToto 4Q earnings more than halves, pays 4 sen dividend
KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): Number forecast operator (NFO) Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd’s (BToto) net profit more than halved to RM35.18 million in the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2018 (4QFY18), from RM72.49 million a year ago, due to impairment in value of available-for-sales quoted investments and goodwill on leasing of lottery equipment business in the Philippines.
KUALA LUMPUR (July 16): The Ministry of Transport (MoT) today sought to alleviate concerns over the "rigorous cost rationalisation" of the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project, saying the move would lead to higher operational viability and lower ticket fares.
The rationalisation of the 37km line between Bandar Utama and Klang involves reducing the cost of the project by 47% or RM15 billion from RM31.6 billion to RM16.6 billion.
KUALA LUMPUR (July 16): Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) Research has maintained IGB Real Estate Investment Trust (IGB REIT) as its preferred retail REIT pick on second quarter 2018 (2Q18) earnings which were within expectations.
It said earnings estimates for financial year 2018-2020 and dividend discount model-target price of RM1.85 were unchanged.
Netflix stock is currently in a free-fall in after-hours trading. The stock is currently down by over 13%, after it significantly missed subscriber targets. The company expected to hit 5.11 million subscribers globally and 1.23 million subscribers domestically, but it actually hit 4.5 million and 700,000, respectively.
The company also slightly missed revenue targets, bringing in $3.91 billion compared to Wall Street Expectations of $3.94 billion.
With all this, the stock is tanking.
