Insurgents south of Syrian capital surrender, says state TV
BEIRUT/DOUMA (April 20): Insurgents in the last area outside Syrian government control near Damascus agreed on Friday to withdraw, but the army's bombardment continued pending a full surrender deal, state media and a war monitor reported.
The development heralds another advance for President Bashar al-Assad's push to retake remaining enclaves and strengthen his position around the capital after retaking eastern Ghouta this month.
MUMBAI (May 21): Three directors of India's Fortis Healthcare have quit ahead of a shareholder vote on Tuesday to decide their future, the company said, the latest twist in a prolonged takeover battle for the hospitals operator.
Fortis Healthcare organised the vote after two major shareholders — Eastbridge Capital and Jupiter India which together control about 12% of the company — called for the removal of four directors.
